From the fx51 release notes:
. Users can view passwords in the save password prompt before saving them

I could not get this to work until I unchecked using a master password. This behavior happens before and after you have entered the master password for your current session.

This seems to be by design, but I cannot see the obvious reason.

The idea is that if you have a master password you don't trust others with access to your computer and therefore wouldn't want them to walk up to your computer and see a password in plaintext text in a dismissed remember password prompt.
