Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/52.0 Build ID: 20170316213829 Steps to reproduce: Im using the gecko profiler addon and for some reason it now causes firefox to crash when i click analyze. The cleopatra tab is opened for a few seconds before it crashes. Event viewer shows : Faulting application name: firefox.exe, version: 52.0.1.6284, time stamp: 0x58cb77fc Faulting module name: nvd3d9wrapx.dll, version: 21.21.13.7866, time stamp: 0x589ce931 Exception code: 0xc0000417 Fault offset: 0x000000000001069d Faulting process id: 0x1524 Faulting application start time: 0x01d2a11417d04997 Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe Faulting module path: C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\CoProcManager\nvd3d9wrapx.dll Report Id: f1d74a15-0d07-11e7-8cf0-001826408b18 Expected results: Im not sure why its pointing towards a nvidia dll because it should be using my integrated card for firefox anyway...what does that dll control? Any ideas? Currently using the latest nvidia drivers, reinstalling hasnt made a difference.
Forgot to mention : This also happens on a fresh profile.

David, is this bug 1180561? Looks like we're dealing with Windows 7 here, but comment 0 says "Faulting module name: nvd3d9wrapx.dll".

This is unlikely to be bug 1180561. I do vaguely recall nvidia drivers not playing nice with our hooks in another bug somewhere. However it's going to be very hard to make a diagnosis based on this limited information. At a minimum we would need a callstack. Anonymous, your report sounds like it's coming through Windows Error Reporting. Are you not using the Firefox crash reporter for some reason? It would be very helpful if you could submit a report through Firefox's reporter and paste us the crash ID.

Too old, and I haven't heard of this issue recently. Please re-open/re-file if necessary.
