cursor jumps back after backspacing

using 9/9 build of apprunner

1) launch apprunner
2) launch editor
3) put cursor in front of the bold "html" in the first line
4) hit backspace 4 times deleting the bold "html"

Watch the cursor jump to the beginning to the line.

it should stay where you finished backspacing.

fixed - this was a problem with the join node transaction code.

Now backspacing is hosed all together...I can't get past
step 4) below....
