Steps to reproduce:

Press Ctrl-W on last tab


Actual results:

Firefox closes


Expected results:

It should go to the home page or about:blank.

There are several similar bugs to this that seem to have been fixed in Firefox 2 or 3.
This is Firefox 52.0.2 64 bit on Linux - kubuntu 16.04
You can go to "about:config" and change "browser.tabs.closeWindowWithLastTab" to false.
