Hello.  In bug 1354262 we are moving DevEdition to be a repack build based off the Beta channel. This change likely means that snippets will no longer be able to target DE without some kind of change.  This change will likely need to be uplifted to Beta for it to work during the next release period.

bug 1353825 is handling the migration of users from Aurora to Beta.  We'll soon have a date available for when that migration should be expected.
Just to update this.  DevEdition will be a rebuild of Beta, not a repack as stated above.  I'm not sure what differences that makes to the snippet channel code.

FTR dev edition still reports as aurora to the snippets service thus we never had to do any changes and we were always targeting dev edition properly.
