Steps to reproduce:

When one turns on "Never remember history" in privacy settings some videos like the ones in Fox News stop playing. Changing to remember history has the videos playing again.

I have been searching for this for a while since the relationship is not obvious at all. I did a refresh firefox which had the videos playing but when I turned on Never remember history they stopped playing again.

This does not seem like an intended behavior.


Using Firefox 53.0 under Fedora Linux 25

I was able to reproduce the issue you described on all Firefox channels using Windows 10 x64, Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and MAC OS X.
After changing to "Never remember history" option and restarting Firefox, the videos from Fox news cannot be played anymore.

"Never remember history" triggers "Tracking Protection".
Disabling "Tracking Protection" from identify icon fixes the foxnews video playback.

Tested on 58.0a1 with TP enabled, all videos remain blocked on foxnews.com

This issue is no longer reproducible on Windows 10 and Firefox Nightly 63, with Basic Tracking Protection enabled.
