We need a new Zeus vip on the external SCL3 cluster to do the following :

1) Talk to vertica.metrics.mozilla.com on 5433 
2) Talk externally via HTTPS to the production MDC (Mozilla Data Collective) instance 

This is needed in order to allow MDC direct access to our Vertica cluster in order to enhance and potentially replace the current MDC -> Tableau <- Vertica

Note that Zeus can only provide you inbound request service. Someone will need to negotiate outbound request service with the default gateway provider (Netops team) and/or the datacenter squid cluster provider (Systems team).

Matt which host does this VIP need to reach? You mentioned vertica.metrics.mozilla.com but I don't see any record of that host.

Matt confirmed on Slack that we should use vertica6 for the pool node.

I believe the work here is done. There may be some more config needed in the future, we'll file another bug as needed.
