Details

As explained in bug 1180204 comment 0 there should be a way to make the node highlighter sticky.

This sticky mode will serve as the basis for a future Designer HUD.

So far, there were two suggestions how to implmement this:

1. Additional toolbar button and keyboard shortcut besides the normal Inspector button and shortcut.
2. Inspect button besides the highlighted and selected elements within the node view similar to the selector matching highlighter.
