Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:51.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/51.0
Build ID: 20170201180315

Steps to reproduce:

I want to create an account for my e-mail address christian@somedomain with the authentication name of somehing_else. I enter that data into the field, and manually enter the FQDNs of the IMAP and SMTP servers. The servers use a self signed certificate.

Actual results:

I only get a general error message that no settings could be found. There is no indication on what the error was. No indication if the connection process failed. No indication if the passwords are wrong.

Expected results:

There should be some meaningful error message and perhaps a way to store the settings without checking them. Both options would aide in debugging the situation. When both options are lagging the experienced user has no idea what to do in case of an error.
