Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; FreeBSD amd64; rv:49.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/49.0 SeaMonkey/2.46
Build ID: 20170626171552

Steps to reproduce:

Most people are getting their updates for Lightning from the official add-ons site. However, for users on FreeBSD and similarly "exotic" platforms, this binary extension is not available for a ready download -- some bits and pieces need to be compiled.

The versions of the add-on bundled with the application (Seamonkey, Thunderbird) get old -- currently, for example, Seamonkey-2.46 includes only Lightning 5.1...

Unfortunately, the last source tarball available at http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/calendar/lightning/releases/ is 4.0.3.1 from Oct 2015. Could the process of publishing the release-sources, please, be resumed?

This was once a problem before (see Bug #458163)...

Is this still an issue now that we are on TC
Component: Lightning Only → Build Config

I'm not sure this is a bug. The sources have, for a long time, been included as part of the Thunderbird sources, and now there isn't code to build it separately.
