:whuang, please add the articles you need as a comment here or link to the aha or trello card or whatever product management tool :-) or bugs here whatever works best for you
NI myself to keep tracking, and also put Joe in cc.
At this moment we can do very similar to what Focus have.
That should be good enough for Zerda as an experimental product.
What I see from Focus is a LEARN MORE (under settings >> Send anonymous usage data) and Help (under settings).

as of today we need:

1. an article about turbo mode
2. some sort of general article
3. edit and add firefox rocket to:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/send-anonymous-usage-data-firefox-mobile-devices

anything else :joni :joecheng?

Hi Roland, this sounds good.

Regarding #2, general article. I wonder if we can expand this a bit further to some of the key features we have on the product such as
1. screenshots
2. block images (data saving feature)
3. Save to SD card / Clear cache (storage saving feature)

Thanks
Joe

For this I think we can have the URL first, before the actual contents go online.
That helps the eng to lock down the code earlier. agree?

agree! but first we need the Rocket icon so we can do the kitsune changes and create an article i think
Is that the right order of operations, joni?

yeah i was wrong we don't need the rocket icon to create SUMO KB articles i.e. this bug (see https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1399341#c3 for full details)

We just need the Firefox Rocket icon for the SUMO support forums (which is bug 1399339)

#1 joni will create a URL for Set as Default for Firefox Rocket tomorrow September 21, 2017

#2 :joe or wesley, does Zerda engineering need any other Firefox Rocket SUMO KB URLs to be defined now since they are coded into Zerda itself? or is #1 the only SUMO KB article that are coded into Zerda itself? (we'll create the other URLs (SD card, clearing cache, Turbo, screenshots, block images) but they can wait if they aren't coded into Zerda itself

ah right, for #2, i see from slack we need urls for:
a) TurboMode learnmore,
b) support,
c) as well as set as default browser

we will have a) b) and c) for you tomorrow September 21, 2017

anything else joe and wesley?
Yes. these URLs are what we can put into zerda codebase even before contents are done.
Nothing other than these I can think of.

ok, thanks, joni please create these 3 urls today so the engineering team can finish their code:
a) TurboMode "learn more",
b) support, (this is just the project page right? so something like support.mozilla.org/products/rocket right Joni?)
c) as well as set Firefox Rocket as default browser

Joni: Firefox Rocket should be just like Focus in terms of user agent stuff (i.e. Rocket will use whatever user agent detection Focus does)

oops i meant product page
i.e. something like:

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/products/focus-firefox

anything else joe and wesley?

I think that's all.

But we do want to confirm on the format.
Source code from Focus for Android shows it's using "https://support.mozilla.org/kb/set-firefox-focus-default-browser-android", without variables like %VERSION or $LOCALE.
Then I tested with my phone and it directs to the corresponding locale correctly.

Should we do the hardcode like Focus?

Just a reminder:
I hope we didn't forget the above featuring items Joe mentioned before.
It would be ideal if we used the version, locale and os variables whenever possible. That way, if the direct article link changes, we're not going to break the in-product URL. If there's a technical constraint to doing that, let us know and we'll make sure not to change the link on SUMO.

Got it. Will notify the team to work on it.

BTW, we discovered an issue that being fixed by Android System Webview update. Can we put this somewhere in the forum or article?

Most definitely we can do this:
github issue 775: Sites using hardware acceleration can't be captured: instagram, google search result

as well as the ones from earlier:
 1. screenshots
2. block images (data saving feature)
3. Save to SD card / Clear cache (storage saving feature)

and the in-product urls that joni gave in comment 14

4. Set Default Browser
5. Turbo Mode

:joni elvin said we should remove the word "anonymous" in tonight's zerda cross-functional, did i get that right elvin?
please let joni what changes if any we need to the i) url and ii) title and iii) content of
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/send-anonymous-usage-data-firefox-mobile-devices
Flags: needinfo?(ellee)
We have the articles ready in English:

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/turbomode
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/set-rocket-default
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/rocket-screenshots
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/browse-faster-blocking-images-firefox-rocket
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/screenshots-problem-firefox-rocket

We'll finalize the article in comment #22 as soon as Elvin gives us feedback. I've also posted a question in #zerda to get more clarification on the Clear Cache feature.
1. :joecheng and :wesley can you answer joni's question from slack ASAP please so we can finish the "SD card / clear cache" article :
"I'm trying to write a SUMO article for the "Clear Cache" feature and would like more clarification. How is it different from Clear Browsing Data and in which scenario would it be better to use one over the other?"

2. I tried this on my Android N, 7.1. August 2017, Note 8 with freshly formatted micro SD card and I don't see any option to save to SD card when clearing the cache (I do ee a settting to "save downlods to" "SD card" or "Internal storage"

3. Links to the UX documents on this feature would also be great of course :-)

Hi there, yes you got it right. This string has been updated in the various mobile apps to remove the word 'anonymous'.

See, e.g., https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/focus-android/issues/1163 and https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/focus-ios/issues/294

The best approach would be to make sure the content of the article reflects the same (remove 'anonymous' description from title and text), and then change the URL accordingly as well. We should set up a redirect on the old article to prevent links from breaking.

I believe this was answered on Slack. I'm leaving short comments to sum up.
'clear cache' only clear cache to free up your phone storage without affecting cookies/histories
While 'clear browsing data' gives you options to clear, including cache, form history, browsing history, and cookies.

You're right. "Save to SD card" and "Clear cache" are two separate features.
Joe talked about these two at once only because they are both relevant to storage saving.

What we have is a more general UX document. (in two separate files)
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B4dMhI4hp32OZHVUUHk0OElFbU0
Permission required but I believe you have access to it.

One more thing, I've changed the target link to the renamed "Send data..." article so no code changes would be needed. The in product link should already redirect to the new title/URL.
Thanks Joni.
We do have another issue on the linking to overview page.

STR: Go to Settings > About , tap on the 'Support' link

Actual result: Content is empty

Note:
Check with Ben that we did have the correct format as below.
https://support.mozilla.org/1/mobile/%VERSION%/%OS%/%LOCALE%/rocket-help

This page should be redirected to the overview page, right?
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/get-started-firefox-rocket

We have a issue created on github to track.

Hi Wesley,

We originally had the link in comment #29 redirecting to this page (https://support.mozilla.org/products/firefox-rocket) but it will appear empty because we've hidden it for now.

I went ahead and changed the target link so it redirects to the overview page. Please let me know if that works for you now.
Flags: needinfo?(jsavage)
It works now! Thank you Joni.
We can probably close this bug now?
