Build ID: 20170628075643

Steps to reproduce:

I'm trying to scroll down miltiple pages on ebay (each page set to show 192 items)

Actual results:

Beyond the second page, scrolling up and down becomes very slow and erratic often freezing FF.
I have tried this even with FF in Safe mode and it's the same.

Expected results:

Pages should scroll smoothly

Just tried FF 55 beta to see if the ebay scrolling issue was still there, and it is.

I have the same issue on Ebay.com (not the Ebay forums) with FF 54 and 55 on Windows 7, 8, and 10. There are many other problems using Firefox on Ebay, it's so bad that Ebay is not usable at all on Ebay. Chrome works fine on Ebay.
Agreed.. It's been like this for months for me.. Since first FF 54 version I believe. Even with ad blockers and extensions turned off, and even in Safe Mode eBay is still the same in that it it unusable.
Should someone make one big "master bug" which points to all the Ebay issues? This seems like a big issue, a major commerce website is not usable via Firefox 54 and 55. Ebay forums work, but not Ebay.com. User should follow these steps to reproduce:

1. Go to ebay.com using Firefox 54 or 55. Preferably 55 as this is the latest non-dev release as I type this. User needs to sign in with a valid Ebay account.
2. Do not use a VPN, so that won't be a variable.
2. Do a search for a product, like "led light".
3. Hold CTL and click on a result link. A new tab should open up. This tab will likely either keep the throbber spinning and partially load, or just show a blank page and never load at all, with the throbber going continuously.
4. If that doesn't reproduce the bug, just click different menu items until the bug is reproduced.
I can't reproduce the issue what C Roberts described in comment 4. It sounds like a different issue from what Orb described originally though.

Orb, the scroll performance issue still persist on firefox 57 as well? I can't reproduce the scrolling issue either on my Linux box.

The issues described by Orb and C.Roberts for FF 55, appear much less prominent in FF 57 for me. I opened several pages with Ebay.com product search results at the same time, each set to show 200 results. When opening search results pages 2, 3, 4, etc in new Tabs, performance in these tabs can be slow, if you open subsequent tabs before previous tabs fully load, so subsequent tabs stay empty for some time. I assume, performance of simultaneously loading multiple Ebay pages each with numerous pictures can be improved, but it looks near reasonable right now. Ad Blocker was switch off on Ebay pages, and internet speed is high at 1Gbps. I guess its also depends on PC hardware performance such as RAM, SSD, CPU etc, with CPU speed being major factor. May be improving GPU use for browser pages rendering may improve performance in such scenarios? It can also be limited by loading numerous pictures to RAM, or temp storing them on disk.

Sorry for the very late reply..

The Issue seems to have cleared up with eBay.

Thank you
