User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:51.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/51.0 SeaMonkey/2.48 Build ID: 20170706221156 Steps to reproduce: 1. enter (or copy) "https://seamonkey.at//releases/2.48" into Location Bar in Seamonkey browser 2. move cursor to first "s" of the word seamonkey 3. press ctrl+shift+right cursor key Actual results: Seamonkey 2.48 Linux version: all text between "s" until end of URL is selected Seamonkey 2.48 Windows text selection stops at next ".", only "seamonkey" is selected Expected results: Text selection with ctrl+shift+cursor rigth key in Linux version should select word "seamonkey" only, not complete url This seams to be broken in Linux version only, windows Version works as expected.

The unwanted Linux behaviour is confirmed in SM2.53.9 x86, but is consistent with the positioning resulting from Ctrl+Right, Ctrl+Left, which are synonymous with Ctrl+Home, Ctrl+End respectively.
Either both the selection and the positioning behaviour should be changed, or neither.
