The following came from a l10n community member. Do we have any info on what Mozilla has done in developing countries on internet health practices? Has it been only for developing countries?

"Educate developing countries on healthy internet practices"

Are there any examples of this?

Is it safe to assume that developed countries are not in need of that
education? (or that Mozilla doesn't deal with that?)

Hive Learning Networks https://hivelearningnetworks.org/ are mainly based in developed countries (US/Canada) so I think that's wrong statement.

"... it should certainly be rephrased or deleted.

There are plenty of Mozilla related projects in developing countries, but no one involved with those projects would ever write such a thing.

We don’t “educate” any countries, rich or poor.

"... suggest an urgent rewrite to avoid charges of being totally condescending. Here’s an alternative to suggest:

Firefox is a browser with a conscience. As part of the technology non-profit Mozilla, we fight for your online rights, keep corporate powers in check and help educate developing countries work with allies around the world to develop a healthier Internet. So when you choose Firefox, we’re choosing you, too."

She also suggests to add Janis Greenspan to the this to make sure we get the message right.

This still contains the phrase "help educate developing countries" which I thought was the whole problem. I suspect it was just an error in copy/paste. I think this should actually read: 

"Firefox is a browser with a conscience. As part of the technology non-profit Mozilla, we fight for your online rights, keep corporate powers in check and work with allies around the world to develop a healthier Internet. So when you choose Firefox, we’re choosing you, too."

Hi All - Good calls all around! I like the egalitarian verbiage above. Also, I noticed the current copy duplicates what's already in the hero section. I propose the following: 

"In addition to fighting for your online rights, we also keep corporate powers in check, while working with allies all around the globe to nurture healthy Internet practices. So when you choose Firefox, we’re choosing you, too."
