Details

Device:
 - Nexus 5 (Android 6.0.1);

Steps to reproduce:
 1. Open Fennec and go to Google Play;
 2. Open any app that has a video (eg. oxenfree);
 3. Tap on the video;
 4. tap on the device back button.

Expected result:
 The video should close and the user should remain on the current page.

Actual result:
 The user is taken to the previous page instead of just closing the video.

Notes:
 I've noticed that when opening a video the URL does not change or a video player does not open.
 The issue with this is that the user has no way of closing the video without either refreshing the page or going back to the previous page.
This just looks like web compat

Tom, can you have a look?

Nope, not webcompat (it happens in Chrome as well). It looks like they just aren't adding a history entry for the video overlay, so going back is going back to the search page, not just (effectively) closing the video overlay.

Bogdan, can you confirm it happens in Chrome Mobile on your end? Thanks.

Hello,

Yes, I can confirm this is the same on chrome for devices with Android 5 and below.

Devices that run Android 6 and above automatically open the Play Store App.

[hciafe] Sounds like it's the web sites' problem and not firefox's.
