We added this in bug 1309970 to avoid breaking extensions, but at this point we should be able to remove it, I would think.

I believe we can do this now, I've looked at all the .types
usages in mozilla-central and we don't seem to use .contains
. The privileged extensions that we manage also don't seem to have any .types
usage.

This was originally added for backwards compatibility for extensions when fixing the DataTransfer.types type.
The extensions are no longer supported.
