14125 - [NEWS] when I use the account wizard to create a new news server, the newsrc file it creates on disk is a directory, not a file.

this is really lame of me.

instead of creating ~/.newsrc-foo or Users50\sspitzer\News\foo
I'm creating ~/.newsrc-foo/ or Users50\sspitzer\News\foo\

so a directory is getting created, instead of a file.

Verified on the 10-15-12-M11 build/WinNT platform

Passed by retest.
Yes, it create the directory "server4" instead the file.
Still need to verify on Linux & Mac later.

Tried to re-test this problem for Linux & Mac on 10-15-M11 builds:

Linux blocked by the bug#15463 & bug#16011
Mac blocked by bug#10503, cannot verified on the Linux & Mac today.
Will test these two platforms later...

Tried to verify on 10-21-08-M11 build on Linux 6.0 platform.
Blocked by bug#10503, Cc: Alec - cannot select the new News Server from Account
Wizard in order to verify this bug. Will check Mac later.

Passed by testing on Linux. will try on Mac....

Seth, any work around for Mac? Still block by bug#10503/bug#15476 for Mac.

OK. Used (bug#15467) work around on 10-22-15-M11 build:
Hit the down arrow once(only once)to select the News Server from the Account
Wizard, and then hit return....Passed by retesting. Server 4 directory created
from the User50/News directory. Mark as Verified.
