Accepting - will be good to have this. I got some info on this from Roy Y. and
Frank T. which was helpful.

roy- please put the documentation about how to do it in this bug. thanks
I am not sure how to add menu items to the Mac PowerPlant(?) application.
(I am slowly learning how to for the Project Builder, Mac OSX)

However, once you finish adding them, then you need to call
nsIDocCharset::GetCharset() to get the current doc charset
nsIDocCharset::SetCharset() to force the doc to the user selected charset.

I can do that part.
Can this be extended to MFCEmbed to pick up this bug (partially):

Yes, definitely. :)

This bug may be a good opportunity for me to learn Mac programming
with help from conrad and ftang, of course.
Teruko is this still an open issue?
This is still an open issue. No Character coding is in PPEmbed build, yet.
Target Milestone: mozilla1.0.1 → mozilla1.4beta
-> Future. Focus is shifting to Cocoa embedding.

Mass change of bugs in the Embedding: Mac component in preparation for archiving it. I don't believe any of these are useful any more, as we don't have a mac embedding API. If they are relevant, they should be moved to an alternate component.
