As far as anyone can tell, tabzilla is no longer being served from mozilla.org. Any instances of tabzilla still in use [1] are loading the JS and CSS from https://mozorg.cdn.mozilla.net/. We should be set to remove the tabzilla view and all related assets from bedrock. [1] http://www.firefox10.org/

Thanks for filing. I'll take this. If I can also figure out if anyone is using the transbar.jsonp url then I can remove the whole tabzilla app...

Hi, when is he scheduled to be remove? We use it in https://www.mozilla-hispano.org/ and we have to prepare the patch.

(In reply to Fernando García Gómez, stripTM from comment #2) > Hi, when is he scheduled to be remove? > We use it in https://www.mozilla-hispano.org/ and we have to prepare the > patch. We should roll it out probably next week, but I don't believe you have to update your site with any urgency. We're just removing the JS, so while it will result in a 410 request the user shouldn't notice a change. The difference will be that Tabzilla no longer opens when clicked, it will just be a plain link to www.m.o. I'm looking at your site now to make sure what I'm saying is true, but that's how it should work for most sites.

mozilla-hispano.org is using //mozorg.cdn.mozilla.net/tabzilla/tabzilla.js, which will be unaffected by this change actually. We'll be removing that file from the CDN as well and will have the same effect I described above, but will happen at a different time.

All that said it's pretty easy to replace the old tabzilla with the newer static version at https://github.com/mozilla/tabzilla/. That is also now kindof old and does not use the new moz://a wordmark, but is better than the old tabzilla. There isn't likely to be an updated tabzilla with the new logo however, so you should do whatever you feel is right in moving toward the new mozilla styles. Side question: can we get rid of tabzilla.lang? I confess I don't understand if that affects the CDN at all (I assume it doesn't).

(In reply to Francesco Lodolo [:flod] from comment #7) > Side question: can we get rid of tabzilla.lang? I confess I don't understand > if that affects the CDN at all (I assume it doesn't). I was planning on discussing that with you after we merged this. That file is still referenced in the "infobar" app in bedrock, but I'm not sure if it's really used there nor if the infobar is used any longer. So I think the answer is for now: I'm not sure. I'll look into it further after we get this one done.
