The tab into a rectangular display in 57 version. Some users want the tab to align with the leftmost side in a non-full-screen mode (as in full-screen mode). Suggest to provide an about:config parameter, the user can manually set to hide this area in non-full-screen mode.

There's a checkbox in customize mode you can flip to turn off these drag areas.

The checkbox in customize mode just add a strip area above the tab bar, not this bug, see attachment.

Johann, do we have plans to add more prefs here?

There are no plans I know of, but I agree that it would be great if users could turn the drag space off if they really wanted to. Stephen, do you think such an option makes sense?

I wonder whether toggling the over-the-tabs drag space should automatically hide the next-to-tabs drag space...
