We need to document the removal of the GCLI starting on the ~18th of May 2018, and also provide pointers to alternatives to commands.

The obvious place to start updating is https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Tools/GCLI

This spreadsheet has the list of commands plus available alternatives https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Zrdm-V9WAQ11I5oxfqCt_M0VvF24NEWnT93VrzPRglU/edit#gid=578856175

This document keeps track of the current status on the unshipping: https://docs.google.com/document/d/e/2PACX-1vSh02ilZT6BwMnYJ2XC_DrrN7GoIWktNAFlYLvGlTMyM7KFelrB6DBWBQEsgHIIiOCH561TWcTBevBk/pub
I've added a warning box on top of the https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Tools/GCLI page, but it still needs to have the list of alternatives, etc.

What are the next steps here?

We need to document somewhere the availability of :screenshot in the console.

I don't think there are other user-facing changes so far (other than the removal of the GCLI). But we should document the alternatives when they're implemented (e.g. for media emulate or listen, etc).

Per bug 1491875, this component has been closed, and the affected code is being removed from Firefox. Closing this bug as incomplete.

This has been done already. If that is the only explicit documentation task here for now, can we change this to dev-doc-complete and reopen it as needed or create other topics as related documentation becomes necessary?

Absolutely! I just did. I agree we should create new topics and not reopen this one.
