From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.0.0) Gecko/20020530 BuildID: 2002053012 This is a rather involved bug, but it winds up making the Mozilla bookmarks far less friendly than other browers(ie. IE). After some aggravation, I finally figured out the problem: When pulling down the Bookmarks menu, selecting a folder, and then swinging your mouse out of the menu (for a fraction of a second) and over to another sub-folder, and menu colapses all sub-folders. Mozilla behaves correctly when you swing the mouse over to a link, rather than a sub-folder. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Create a sub-folder in your list of bookmarks (ie OuterFolder). 2.Put a sub-folder in the sub-folder (ie InnerFolder). (Making it a sub-sub-folder). 3.Create a link (ie InnerLink) beside InnerFolder for comparison purposes. 4.Open the Bookmarks menu, and move the mouse down to the OuterFolder menu. At this point, the OuterFolder menu opens up, revealing InnerFolder and InnerLink. 5.If you swing your mouse over to InnerLink (leaving the menu for just a second) the OuterFolder menu does not collapse. Correct behavior. 6.If you swing your mouse over to InnerFolder (leaving the menu for just a second) the OuterFolder menu collapses. Incorrect behavior. Actual Results: The menu collapsed. Expected Results: The menu should have stayed open. I believe that the bookmark menu system is failing to distinguish between sub-menus and sub-sub-menus. It could be fixed by assigning a level counter to each folder. This is only a UI bug, but it really make Mozilla feel sloppy. Should be fixed.
