User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:65.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/65.0

Steps to reproduce:

Hi everybody,
I use Thunderbird and Lightning for years, on Windows either Linux ; but here is the problem I have on Linux since Ubuntu 16.04 (and now 18.04 - 64 bits) :

Actual results:

there is no minimize maximize button in the popup lightning reminder title bar ; only the close button.
So, it's impossible to minimize the popup reminder alarm in the task bar.
When I right-click in the title bar, Minimize and Maximize are not allowed.
And in the Thunderbird screen, this popup is always on top ; it's impossible to pass it behind the main Thunderbird screen.

Expected results:

These buttons are available on Windows system, but no more on Ubuntu. (I tried with a blank profile, without any else add-ons or themes, but it's the same).

Confirmed using Lightning 6.2.6.1 in Thunderbird 60.6.1 on Linux Mint 19.1 Cinnamon.

You can move them to another Workspace with the "Move to Another Workspace" context menu item.

Hummm... :-S
It's not exactly what I expected for...
Nowadays, my Thunderbird is version 60.6.1 64 bits under Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS 64 bits, but it's always the same problem.
And I have no context menu item "Move to another workspace" for I work only on one workspace (disabled workspace option).
So ?...
Why is this bug not corrected ?...

I forgot Lightning version : 6.2.5

I haven't setup another workspace either, and if I did would probably forget I moved a reminder.

So even though the Minimize, Maximize and Close buttons for the Reminder dialog do exist for the Windows version but not the Linux version. What is wrong with snoozing the alarm for whatever time you need?

Probably not corrected because the titlebar comes from the operating system(?). Not a priority and not enough manpower.

A few other Alarm bugs https://mzl.la/2NTeHm4

I just want to be able to minimize this popup reminder in the taskbar, as I can do it with all other windows, or stand it as back window behind all the others, as it's possible with all other windows. But with this popup reminder Lightning on Ubuntu, it's impossible...

And it is not probably a problem with the operating system (Ubuntu) because all the other popup or windows applications run well, with their complete titlebar (minimize maximize and close button, and with context menu).

So ?...

So you wait for someone to be assigned to fix the bug, submit a patch, have it reviewed and approved, and committed to a build. I did what I could by confirming the bug.

That could be awhile as you can see by the bug list in my previous reply, lack of manpower and priority of other bugs.

Any possibility this could be fixed Magnus?

I have a vague recollection about this. I think it's a general bug/feature that dialogs don't get these controls, and adding minimizable to the options at https://searchfox.org/comm-central/rev/2ddfe0d5bd910e7e7bdbdebb5b826b4863dfd880/calendar/base/src/calAlarmMonitor.js#129 doesn't seem to help either.

Thank to all of you for your help... even if there is no solution for now.
I've already writen the same message (bug) at assistance forum support of Mozilla
(here : https://support.mozilla.org/fr/questions/1232036 )
but with no more success... :-(

Do you think it's a Mozilla bug, or an Ubuntu bug ?...
because there is no problem under Windows system.
And this bug is long since... Ubuntu 14.04 if I remember well...
Or may be... is there 2 different versions of Lightning ? (between Windows and Ubuntu ?...)

Wasn't able to find the ref, but I think it's the case that because it is a dialog, the windowing toolkit (GTK?) don't want it to have the controls, so it doesn't add them. So, feature or bug...
