Hi,

sometimes I want to archive a webpage to make sure that I have it on my PC as I
have seen it (when I bookmark the page it could be removed or modified).
Furthermore, I can sometimes remember a page or a phrase on it, but I cannot
find it amongst 1.000 similar pages on the internet anymore.

Therefore, I wish to have a function, that allows me to add any page to a
permanent history which is NOT deleted automatically after 14 days or so. The
history should contain the whole page and not only a URL. 

If I could search all pages in this permantent history, that would be great. So
I can keep track of all pages I find useful and I have a snapshot of these on my
PC as I have seen them at a specific day.

Did you try 'Save as ...' function with 'Web page, complete' option?

Then you'd have to manage that manually, and make up your own search
application to find the relevant page, then enter the file URL to look at
it.  It'd be much nicer integrated into Mozilla itself.

Omniweb boasts the searching part.  I don't know whether it stores the page,
though, or whether it stores only the URI and indexes the words on the page
in search-engine-like fashion.  Either way, seems like a useful feature.
