Have you correctly symlinked the Java Plugin ?

I should have provided more info. The crash is happening with configuration:

Mozilla Build ID: 2002052918, Java(TM) Plug-in1.3.1_01, Red Hat Linux release
7.2 (Enigma)

Can you upgrade to Mozilla1.1b and JRE1.4.x ?
Pratyush: You never replied to the symlink question..

In your mozilla plugins dir: Is libjavaplugin_oji140.so (or your versions
equivalent) a symlink to the real location of the file, or did you copy the file
itself to the plugins dir? (The correct approach is to created a symbolic link)
Yeah, I did copy the plugin files to the plugins directory instead of creating
the symlink.

Now I do not have access to the machine on which I observed the behaviour
becuase I have moved to different place. Can I request somebody to do the
requisite testting?
Resolving as WFM per comment 4, 8 and 13. There are dozens of duplicates of this
one. Copying the java plugin to the plugins dir WILL cause crashes.
The correct approach is to symlink it.
