When I try to open the following link: almaz.com/nobel/physics/1933a.html mozilla crashes. All the windows forked out of the same mozilla run also closes.

wfm with win2k build 20020628.. Reporter: Which JRE Do you use ? Have you correctly symlinked the Java Plugin ?

I should have provided more info. The crash is happening with configuration: Mozilla Build ID: 2002052918, Java(TM) Plug-in1.3.1_01, Red Hat Linux release 7.2 (Enigma)

Pratyush: You never replied to the symlink question.. In your mozilla plugins dir: Is libjavaplugin_oji140.so (or your versions equivalent) a symlink to the real location of the file, or did you copy the file itself to the plugins dir? (The correct approach is to created a symbolic link)

Yeah, I did copy the plugin files to the plugins directory instead of creating the symlink. Now I do not have access to the machine on which I observed the behaviour becuase I have moved to different place. Can I request somebody to do the requisite testting?

Resolving as WFM per comment 4, 8 and 13. There are dozens of duplicates of this one. Copying the java plugin to the plugins dir WILL cause crashes. The correct approach is to symlink it.
