Ok, this is gonna be long:
Vital Stats on Machine: Win98SE, HP Pavilion 7270, External Creative 56K Modem
(can't remember exact model), Average connection between 24 and 33.6 kbs in
remote former GTE Land in rural Michigan 

I was trying to setup my father's email - if you need to know more about that
please contact me where it won't display - and was able to.  I would close
Mozilla and restart it and all of his information was GONE.  I tried rebooting
the computer in case something weird was going on with Windows.

I also had an Address Book Bug that I will file separately occuring concurrently
to this - maybe related?

I reentered the data.  And after entering the his account information a second
time I saw to accounts display - both the same account - but no information for
either.

At this point, I gave up and installed Opera 6.04 since he has used that before.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Get a setup as described.
2.follow scenario above - I'm too tired to write another Use Case/QA Script. 
3.

Actual Results:  I was completely unable to get Mozilla to keep a mail account
profile.

Expected Results:  I should have been able to set up my Father's Email Account.

Please try this on a newer build than 20020417. Mozilla 1.0, and 1.1a have come 
out in the time between now and 20020417.

Reporter, if you are still having this issue in a current build, please reopen
and comment with details.

Verified Worksforme. Older builds had problems as the reporter describes but I
have not seen these problems in months.
