Details
Once a composition has been started you can not perform an advanced search. This can prove troublesome, as you can not do a search for everyone in DEPTA and DEPTB and add them to the BCC field. The Addressbook does not allow select the header field the compose button goes to. If you start a composition and hit the address button you can select wether an address will do in To, CC or BCC, but you can not do an advanced search so that all the members of DEPTA and DEPTB are visible - you are restricted to simple name searching. I have makred this as a major flaw as it shows inconsitency in the capabilities of the product.

You can launch Mail Compose window from LDAP Address Book Advanced Search.

That is true, but from address book advanced search you can not choose if a group of address' will be To CC or Bcc. which is especially needed if the group of people you are going to be sending to will exceed the ~32000 byte limit on sendmail To or Cc Field. If you break this limit and you want to use Bcc you have to change it manually for each address. Perhaps, choose To CC or Bcc should be added to the Address Book compose ability aswell as being able to get to the advanced search from the compose windo?
