Some debugging tools only give you the filename and linenumber by default - it would be neat to hook them up to lxr, but you have to search for the file. I think it would be quite cool if you could pass the line numbers through the filename search, and it would append them to the links as anchors. What do I mean? lets say I want to look in the file "nsXULDocument.cpp" on line 47. I could put the url into lxr as http://lxr.mozilla.org/seamonkey/find?string=nsXULDocument.cpp&line=47 then the only match it finds would have the link: http://lxr.mozilla.org/seamonkey/source/content/xul/document/src/nsXULDocument.cpp#47
do you really need to rely on lxr? bonsai can do this: http://bonsai.mozilla.org/cvsguess.cgi?file=nsXULDocument.cpp&mark=47

oh neat. That's good... but I still want it through lxr. Maybe cvsguess can be tweaked to support lxr too.

Reassigning all LXR bugs assigned to build@mozilla-org.bugs to the default LXR owner (sorry Bear!) We aren't actively working on these (if that's wrong, please reassign to yourself/a real person).

mxr is gone, mass closing.
https://searchfox.org/ is a much better alternative.
