163063 - Installer crashes

seen on commerial trunk build windows 2002-08-16-04-trunk

-Using either stub or full installer atempt to install this build with all
default installation settings

The installation process crashes before completion.  It looks like it was doing
Mail/News when it crashed.

The desktop icon is present. Running that gets javascript errors after a long
wait at the splash screen.

I was able to install today's build just fine, using the custom install - no
crashes.. I'm using it now to post here.

oops, I meant the stub install, using the "Custom" option to install just the
browser, mail, and AIM.. I also don't set netscape.com as my homepage, nor use
quicklaunch (if any of those variables help..)

arghhhh....looking forward to the refresh here. My Windows machine has become
intolerably glitchy.  I rebooted the machine and tried to install this build and
it worked fine.  Doing smoketests now.
