i am using mozilla 1.0.0 whith windows 2000
and i think the automatic remove of cached files doesn't work.
it doesn't matter what i enter in disc cache size or press the
button empty cache. the files on the disc are still there!

Oliver, can you check to see if you are looking in the correct profile directory
- it should be something like this -> "mozilla/profile/yourprof/*.slt/cache" . 
Also, if you are not sure you can type in about:cache to see which files have
been cached.
