Currently on Mail Compose, after type any email address on To/CC/BCC list field,
they can not be easily deleted, for example, using Del key.

Also, the little icon on each item doesn't mean anything there, double-click it
should bring up the address book.

Reproducible: Always

Here is my suggestion:
1) Single-click the little namecard icon, should high-light that email address;
2) Once an email address is high-lighted, press Del key can easily remove it;
3) Double-click the little namecard icon, should bring up the address book;

The fix for single click to highlight the address has already been checked in.
taking all of varada's bugs.

This may be related to a more general keyboard focus/shortcut bug. May also
relate to lack of shortcut keys for "T"o, "C"C, "B"CC, etc. In Netscape 4.x You
used to be able to <Tab> to the "To/CC/Bcc" pull-down and just hit the first
letter, or "Del" to delete the address.
As noted in comment 4, the single-click-to-highlight suggestion is already in
place; and once it is highlighted, Del clears it.

The suggestion regarding double-clicking the icon to open the address book is a
good one; I have copied it over to Bug 81672, which was already about a UI to
open the address book at the field without going to the toolbar or menu.

Ying-Lin Xia: given that, may we close this bug? (as WorksForMe)
Everything but the features mentioned in comment 6 are now working here.
However, further research reveals that comment 6 is better handled by bug 144303.
