found using 2002.08.28.05, OS 10.1.5. if you use the Locator with chimera, the
target does not move smoothly.

this is not as bad a problem with Netscape on OS X (2002.08.23.05-1.0), nor for
the mozilla macho 8/20 trunk build. (they just animate really quickly.)

1. go to http://maps.mcom.com (an internal site).
2. in the top frame, enter the name of a conference room you wish to find. eg,
Twilight Zone, then hit Return.
3. in the lower frame, a map will be displayed and an animated red target will
move to show the conference room's location.

result: the target doesn't move smoothly and leaves a rather jagged trail. will
attach screenshot.

workaround: resizing the window, or switching back and forth btwn tabs clears it up.

Closing bug as it hasn't been updated in more then two years even though I asked
for an update. Re-open as needed.

yeah, I haven't found an externally available URL which also exhibits this. if I
(or anyone else) does, do reopen.
