When I create a folder starting with a number (ex: '1a') I can't move a message
to it using the message's popup menu. The folder doesnt' appear on the list.
reporter,
what is your build id/version of mozilla are you using?
What type of mail account (imap or pop)?
what type of mail server are you using?
Does drag/drop work?
Does menu item: Message|Move work?
Just the context menu for move broken?
Anything unusual about mesgs you are moving (attachments, etc..)?

looks ok on commercial trunk on win2k:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.1b) Gecko/20020903

I can move megs via context menu from a imap or pop account

I was hoping to find out what type of mail server
you are using (UW, microsoft exchange, cyrus, courier, netscape, etc..)
SMTP is the outgoing server.

If you can't find the info, try telnet into the mailserver with the
same port # that is used for mail and it should show you what type
of mail server you are using.

Is your folder with a number in it directly under the inbox?
  ie
   account name
    |
    Inbox
        |
        1a
or more like:

   account name
    |
    |-Inbox
    |
    |-1a

I tried moving a mesg to a folder with number and it worked.
Can you give me more exact steps?

This is what i did with
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US; rv:1.1b) Gecko/20020904

1.Created a folder called '1a' on my pop mail account (netscape msg server 415)
2.Created a subfolder of '1a' called 'aa'.
3.Clicked on my inbox.
4.selected a mesg, right click, move to and chose '1a'
5.then went into '1a' and selected a mesg, right click
  and chose move to 'aa'

and it worked. no problems.

Sérgio Nunes, is this bug still an issue for you? You left the questions from
comment 2 hanging. If still a problem, have you updated Mozilla to a more
recent build?
=>WorksForMe, based on comment 3, due to lack of response from reporter
Sérgio Nunes, if this bug is still a problem for you, feel free to reopen it.
