When trying to load https://register.btinternet.com, mozilla throws out this error:
"Error establishing an encrypted connection to register.btinternet.com. Error
code: -8190".

As both Opera and IE handle this correctly, I assume it is a bug in mozilla's
handling of the response...
Can you try disabling FIPS? Edit>Prefs>Prevacy>Certs>Manager Cert Devices.
It works when FIPS is disabled
Evangelism - can you get them to not limit their server to SSL2 only?

Unfortunately I have no sway with these people - I use a competing service.

P.S. What is the problem, exactly?

Enabling FIPS disables SSL2, which is what this site uses. SSL3 and TLSv1 are
newer, more secure encryption methods. That is why I assigned this to our
in-house team to try to persuade the webmaster to turn on SSL3 also.
