Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.4) Gecko/20011128 Netscape6/6.2.1
Build Identifier: Mozilla win32 1.0.1 and 1.1

Scenario:
- Windows 2000
- mail and browser work fine under Netscape 6.2.1 and earlier
- install Mozilla 1.0.1 (also tried 1.1)
- using manual proxy configuration, browser works fine, i.e., authentication
succeeds; authentication under mail program doesn't work
- under automatic proxy configuration, exactly the opposite is true, i.e., now
mail works but not the browser authentication!
- side note: using Linux 0.9x at home, authentication works jsut fine for both
mail and browser

What a mystery . . .
