I get a truck load of asserts in layout, and it does seem to draw right. my guess is something is wrong with the xul in pref-messages.xul I'm looking into it now. thanks to cmaske for reporting this.

crap, not fixed. no more assertions on linux, but things are still wacky on window. reopening.

depending on the window size, I can get it to assert or crash. yikes. its a problem that can be worked around with making the window bigger. I need to do some investigating and figure out what is causing the crash. it's something in the bowels of layout.

marking works for me, as the asserts are gone. bug #17266 is also works for me. something got fixed under the covers...
Linux Redhat 6.0 (1999-11-09-11 M11) Win_nt 4.0 (1999-11-09-11 M11) Mac (1999-11-09-11 M11) No problem using "Mail and Newsgroups | Messages. I do not see any crash. Problem has been fixed. Bug 17266 has been verified.
