The release notes should be organized by platform (operating system (OS) and
machine architecture).  If I am running on a Macintosh I don't care about
installing java under Linux, and vice versa.  The release notes should either
continue to contain sections specific to each platform, or should be split into
a release notes for each platform.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Load the release notes
2. Scroll to each section in turn, trying to filter out the information specific
 to your OS and all OS's
3. Be a little frustrated.

Attachment: Linux-specific Release Notes

Here are Linux-specific release notes. The structure of the document is
unchanged; only information relating to other operating systems has been
excised.

Are the release notes maintained by hand, or are they generated by a script?  
If the latter, where is the script located?  If this change is desirable I'd be
glad to modify either the script or the release notes in a similar manner to
this document.

Also, if a patch to the release notes is preferable I can generate one.
