Not all documents contain the author (e.g.
<URL:http://www.mozilla.org/tinderbox.html>).

Many are also very outdated and some contain relative time references
("recently", "during the next time" etc.), so it would be helpful to see, when
the document was edited last. Is it possible to insert such a string anywhere at
the bottom of each page?

If I'm right, www.m.o is held in a cvs repository. The informations should be
there. For documents last changed long before inclusion in the rep. (there are
very old ones :-( ), a special statement like "changed last sometime before x"
would be good.

I checked in a fix to the staging script to add 'last updated' dates to the
bottom of each file. This change will get utilized when the new site layout
goes into effect. Since the mechanism is now there, marking this fixed even
though it will be a little while before the dates actually show up.

As for authors, if the document doesn't state an author then
webmaster@mozilla.org should be the default. You can look up the history of a
document's changes with bonsai http://www.mozilla.org/webtools/bonsai/ When
the web site's bonsai gets updated to the latest version (the current version
is riddled with broken links) I can make links to the changelog for every page.

marking this fixed. if someone likes the changelog idea feel free to open a bug
to request updating bonsai so we can have links to change logs.
Hey, cool. Thanks.
