importing calendar datas file either crashes mozilla
or
imported data is resulting to a incorrect calendar.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. in calendar
2. tools -> import from file
3. select on eof the ics file, downloaded from mozilla site
4. in question box: do you want to open all events to import before importing
   click no: mozilla crash
---
5. is select ni in case 4, the process goes to every single event which is
what it should do.
Actual Results:
a) mozilla crash i n step 1-4

b) the calendar has repeating and weirdness event, like thanksgiving is everyday!

Expected Results:
a) import data and not crash

b) imported data show correctly..

this is a build of October 29

Platform Solaris 8 with Recommemd Patches cluster installed
Compiler is Sun Forte 6.2 with appropiate patches
TrueType support include

A binay/pkg is available at
ftp://ftp.patriots.net/pub/solaris_packages/8-Sparc-Shared

make sure to get the file dated 2002-10-30
report had wrong OS: it's Solaris 2.8 not linux.
OS: Linux → Solaris
Confirmed on linux.

I have a older compilation, cvs-ed and compiled October 26
This version work perfectly, not sure about the code as I no longer have the code
but there are some diff. between the 2 how thet were compiled:
working: freetype support disabled, compiler flags -xO5
not working: freetype support enabled, compiler flags -O

but as this problem also occurred with Linux as well with Solaris I do not think
the that freetype of the compiler flags are the problem?

This is fixed in CVS. I'll make new builds tonight.

Compiled new version today october 31, 2002
tested, import why no-checking works fine
imported the available USA datafile still error but i think this is the datafile
that has an error, tried the Dutch one and events shows correctly.
the USA shows thanksgving everyday :-)

new version it be available on ftp://ftp.patriots.net
i *would* be nice if my build we made available on mozilla's site
maybe in a separate directory?

also a solaris 9 (sparc) will be made available soon....

thanks
