We have a whole bunch of Javascript prefs for LDAP which aren't exposed in the
UI. It might be nice to have an "advanced" dialog where these prefs were
editable. See
http://developer.netscape.com:80/docs/manuals/communicator/ldapcust45.html

Dan/David, any idea what the "advanced" ldap prefs were/are?

Not sure, but it's probable that either we're now exposing UI for those prefs, or the prefs are no longer supported in the backend. Or they have to do with replication, e.g.,

pref("ldap_1.directory6.filter1.repeatFilterForWords", false);

I don't think there's a ui for this (not that I'm saying there should be)
pref("ldap_2.autoComplete.interval", 650);
