I remember hearing that there were two print dialogs, one OS-independent one and one OS-dependent one. If this is the case, please consider using the more featureful one. If this is not the case, please implement such features as a portrait/landscape (print orientation) selector. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. File->Print... 2. attempt to select a landscape (wide) page layout Actual Results: No option appears to be present to select print orientation. Expected Results: An option appears to choose print orientation, whether on the main print dialog box or on the Properties subdialog.

I've just realized that landscape printing can be selected from the File->Page Setup menu, but I am accustomed to finding such an option on the Print dialog (perhaps it's a bad habit I picked up from Windows systems). Please consider where users expect to find such options, and whether somehow making these options available on the Print dialog is possible. Again, there may be an alternate Print dialog that is more suitable.
Summary: can't choose landscape printing (enable more advanced print dialog) → make page setup options accessible thru print dialog?

Perhaps we need a meta-bug for tracking printing enhancements akin to bug 125824 for Mozilla? At any rate I'm going to confirm this for developer review.

Bug 179597 is a request to enable printing in reverse order through the print dialog.

Hello, I think it's slightly more than just an enhancement as it's absolutely necessary for the quite many sites which open a separate print page where you don't have access to the menus but only to the print dialog (possibly even opened automatically through Java Script, where this enhancement would be an acceptable workaround for Bug 156992 - Javascript function window.print() always uses Letter as page size). Actually, I would even add that "Print Preview" should also be available from the print dialog, exactly for such cases. Thanks, Eric PS: I think that Bug 423434 is a duplicate of this one but don't know how to mark it.

Similar: Bug 642607 (mailnews core) - Implement / Add [Page Setup...] button to Print dialogue Not a duplicate, because - filed against mailnews core - with much more detail - different approach: bug 642607 requests button link to page setup dialogue instead of integrating individual options in print dialogue (clutter) - whereas this toolkit bug is currently not actionable, as expected results are not very clear and different from current summary
In my opinion, the bug could be closed: at least under Linux, the print dialog shows all the necessary print options.
