This history idea is based on a feature that was used in Apple's Hypercard
application. The idea would be to have a visual history frame. The frame would
be scrollable, with each page visited in the referenced window being listed,
either as a text element, or as a page capture. This history would be as
extensive as a user defined value, either 'n' or all. The page would be
accessible via the back button menu - the last item would be 'view extended
history...' or something.

Could you attach a screenshot either how it should look in mozilla, or a
screenshot from hypercard? That would make it easier for those of us who aren't
familiar with hypercard to visualize.
I have created a screen shot of the Hypercard 'recent' window here:

url does not work. pls post the img as an attachment to this bug

TrailBlazer offers another alternative:

As does OmniWeb 5:

Maybe this could be added as an add-on, since adding this sort of feature would
really depend on user perception and usability.

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.
