User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) Build Identifier: Gecko/20020910 Can't connect on port 1080. Just filed the same bug with netscape for its 7.01 release. The port can't be changed because it is on a commersial product.Mozilla says the port is disabled for security reasons???. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. set up a webserver that serves on port 1080 2. try to connect to it. 3. Error message saying the port is disabled for security reasons Actual Results: see above Expected Results: connected... MSIE & Opera can connect.

I have read the release notes. We are a company that uses Mozilla a lot. We develop embedded linux devices and I'm not satisfied with bug closer hitlers. Your product still has this bug and it should be dealt with. From the bug report page. Blocker: This bug prevents you from testing or developing Mozilla. Yes this prevents me from testingand developing with mozilla.

That is no bug, that's a wanted security feature that you can disable via preferences. Where is the problem ?
