Details
There are two cases where I can generate a "redundant multiplexed document?" assertion from fastload. 1) some combination of '-edit -browser -mail' on the command line, or the equivalent set in prefs 2) rapidly switching previously unserialized pref panels Both are a little hit and miss.

A clean Mac compiled trunk Thunderbird debug build version 3.0a1pre (2008040301) outputs the following on startup: WARNING: redundant multiplexed document?: 'docMapEntry->mString == nsnull', file /Users/skywalker/Desktop/Mozilla/cvs/mozilla/xpcom/io/nsFastLoadFile.cpp, line 1404
