User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030224
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030224

When viewing my email at http://www.fastmail.fm, I sometimes click a link that
says "poll" that opens a tiny browser window that refreshes every 10 minutes
with my current Inbox folder statistics. If I click the link in that window for
"Open Mailbox", a new Mozilla browser window is opened that does not have the
personal toolbar enabled. When I click View --> Show/Hide --> Personal Toolbar,
nothing happens. If I repeat the action, the setting in Show/Hide shows the
Personal Toolbar checked, but the PT is still not displayed.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Log into http://www.fastmail.fm
2. Click "Poll"
3. Click "Open Mailbox" in the poll window
4. Personal Toolbar is not displayed. Try to display it by clicking View,
Show/Hide, Personal Toolbar.
Actual Results:
Personal Toolbar is still not displayed. There is, however, a checkmark next to
the Personal Toolbar setting.

Expected Results:
Personal Toolbar should have been displayed.
Notice that the personal toolbar setting is checked, yet the personal toolbar
does not display.
Tried reproducing this bug under the "Classic" theme, and was successful in
doing so.

Nevermind going to the fastmail.fm website, the following html code will
reproduce the problem on any web page:

<a
onclick="window.open('http://www.cnn.com','fmmbox','location=yes,menubar=yes,status=yes,toolbar=yes,scrollbars=yes,resizable=yes');"
href="javascript://;">Open mailbox</a>
Open the attached web page with Mozilla and click the link. You will then
notice that you can't view the personal toolbar with the new window.
I wanted to note that I have this problem under OS X also --- Maybe a bit
different. When I fire up Moz, the first window doesn't show the Personal
Toolbar at all. If I open a new window (not new tab), the new window shows the
Personal Toolbar as expected.

This started occuring for me under Moz 1.4b (Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac
OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030507), which I installed weekend of 5/15/03.
This bug still exists in Mozilla 1.4b, as well as Mozilla Firebird 0.6
Confirming this bug.

This has been around since the product's lifetime, I believe (!)

Hyatt, did you say you fixed this for Mac once and that you were pretty sure
Seamonkey had it too?
