found using 2003.02.26.05 comm trunk bits on linux rh7.2. import fails when imported bookmark file contains a groupmark. not sure if this is a known bug, but i couldn't find one. dup or reassign as needed. 1. create and launch a new profile (for simplicity). 2. add a couple regular bookmarks (non-groupmarks). 3. open some tabs so that you have 2 or more tabs in the same browser window. 4. file the group of tabs --i also gave the groupmark a name, eg, "group1". 5. add some more bookmarks --regular ones should be fine. your bookmarks menu should now consist of, in the following order: * the default bookmarks * some regular bookmarks * a groupmark, "group1" * some more bookmarks 6. open the manage bookmarks window (Ctrl+B). 7. select Tools - Export. 8. in the resulting file picker, save the file --i changed the name from bookmarks.html to blah.html (which i'll attach soon). 9. select Tools - Import. 10. in the file picker, open blah.html to import it. 11. now look at the manage bookmarks window OR the Bookmarks main menu in the browser window. results: bookmark items *after* the groupmark failed to be imported.
