It would be nice to have an out of the way place to put comments about the
support of a product or opinions.

I have wanted to show my appreciation and aprehention for different builds of
mozilla for instance while making a suggestion or bug report.

A seperate field "Side Comment" would take your side comment like "Great job on
this new build of mozilla" or some other comment you feel is not directly
related to the field of question of a ticket but might have some value.

A link on the actual ticket itself would say something like "Side Comments(3)"
to indicate there were 3 side comments about the ticket.

If you wanted to go one step further you could make side comment flags so that
folks with OP-like privledges can hide their comments from normal users with the
ticket of a checkmark but they could then comment about a ticket (or person
writing the ticket) right then and there.

It would provide an appropriate forum for side comments that appear on trouble
tickets.

This sounds like Target::Future, to me.

I use a Trouble Ticketing System that has something like that, and we almost
never use it.

I suppose some might, though.

Bugzilla is not a forum. And having two "threads" in bugs (one for constructive and technical comments, and another one for your feelings about the bug) is non-sense to me. If we go this way, we are opening a door to all those users who like to complain for everything.
