User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030312
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030312

On some web site, such as the pages listed above, I find that both the bottom
most image on the left side (of the three) as well as the images at the top of
the second URL (reached by clicking on "daily report" on first URL, always break
up in horizontal bands when I scroll down the page so that the images disappear
off the top of the screen momentarily. When I return, they are broken up. I
have had this problem on various web sites with all versions of Mozilla except
for 1.2.1. I have tried using both Java 1.3.1 and 1.4.1 and it makes no
difference. I finally got the problem fixed on this computer by installing
Mozilla 1.3 on top of 1.2.1 in its complete form; if I did a custome
installation wherein I did not install chatzilla, etc., it would fail every
time. It also failed everytime I installed by uninstalling 1.2.1 first! This
computer uses an ATI Rage Fury Pro 32 MByte video card. I have found no way to
install any version other than 1.2.1 and have it work on images properly on an
HP computer that uses some nVidia card.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to listed URL.
2. Load it.
3. Scroll down page so that images disappear off top of window, and the scroll
back up.

Actual Results:
Images are broken up in horizontal bands. Only way to fix is to reload page.

Expected Results:
Kept images intact while I scrolled down page and then back up.

This problem was very evident in version 1.01 with the National Zoo Panda cam
site, but it has changed and no longer seems to suffer the same problems.
However, the fellow that introduced me to Mozilla had the same problems with the
National Zoo site when he tried it. We both looked at the HTML and could see
nothing wrong with it. I posted this query on a Mozilla-zine forum, and someone
said they had heard the Netscape 6 had problems with some video cards. However,
if this is true, it means there are problems because a browser that will not
work right on images with all video cards is not much help . . . !

Hi Karl

I'm not able to reproduce your problem - are you able to confirm whether or not
this is still happening, preferably with a recent build of Mozilla

Thanks
This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.
