User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030404 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030404 My mozilla is crashing when I close the last mozilla window. I use the latest nightly build, the problem is also there in the latest official release (1.4 or so). The talkback function didn't fetch any data, it only asks me to send a (I think empty) report, and windows gives me some error about a membory read error. I got no problems with Netscape 7.02, but I want to use mozilla because of the junk mail filter and the newer gecko version, but it's very irritating like this. I got NO netscape installed. OS: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition SP-1 CPU: AMD Athlon 2000+ RAM: 512 DDR HD: 80GB Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start mozilla 2. Close mozilla Actual Results: Windows XP error message, talkback (I think empty). Expected Results: Just close normal.

Here is the windows XP error (translated from dutch): The instruction on 0x02dc7cd2 points to the memory on 0x0000000c. The read- or write command ("written") on the memory has failed. Click OK to end ...... etc.

only Mozilla drivers can set (+) blocking flags. you can only request (?) them.

OK, but is there any solution? I think linux is the best solution ;-).

can you reproduce this with a recent nightly? if you can post a talkback ID, that might help. without further information, there's not going to be any solution...

I got this working after removing mozilla and my mozilla application data profile and then reinstalling everything. I lost some data, but it was worth it.
