scrolling in any web page leaves the working area of mozilla cluttered with
pixels, making it very difficult to recognized the actual page. This happens
under XP running on my NVIDIA GeForce 4 420 Go. It does not happen on my
desktop. (I've tried downloading a the installer again, which didn't help either)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open any web page
2. scroll within the page
3.
Actual Results:
display messed up

Expected Results:
scrolled down with a proper update of the display area
Build 1.4a is not from 2003-03-12. Do you have Multizilla installed?

Please try a clean install into another directory and use an empty profile, in
case you have not done so. Do you then still see the problem?
Severity: blocker → major
Can you attach a screenshot ?
Have you enabled Smoothscrolling ?
the attached image shows the corruption of the screen area that's being
scrolled in during a scrolling action. The corruption disappears when I force a
redraw (e.g. change window size). I don't know how to en/disable smooth
scrolling. This problem persists when I make a clean install and run that using
a new profile.
The screen update problems also occur whenever I scroll through the items of any
of the menus or if I go through the options in "preferences"
Probably related to bug 204374.
Does this still happen with a recent build?
Does it happen from the start, or after browsing a while?
I can not reproduce the error with the 1.6 release version. It seems to have
been resolved.
great, please reopen if you see this again !
